I've just discovered, thanks to friends at work, the Play Framework, and well, that sounds pretty awesome.

It's basically a copy of Ruby on Rails and Grails, but with Java server-side. It takes many of what made Rails famous (ease of configuration, simple syntax, skeleton generation), and makes it available to Java developpers, without the need to learn a new language.

Pages are done using Groovy, like in Grails, and a system of templates, allowing the user to avoid code repetition.

I've tested the framework, following their doc, and well...that was really easy ! One can build a simple app really quickly, and the pleasure of coding is here.
